The Democratic Front for the Liberation of Palestine commented on the results of the Arab-Islamic summit, which was held in Riyadh yesterday, and said: The Riyadh summit, in its final statement, placed the burdens of the Palestinian cause entirely on the shoulders of the “International Community,” and held it responsible for finding solutions to its various files, including the war of genocide against our people in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank, and breaking the siege of starvation and thirst that it imposes on the residents of the Strip. However, in return, it exempted itself from any immediate and direct responsibilities to support and back our people and their steadfastness, except to be satisfied with repeated condemnations and directing invitations to those present from the countries of the world, ignoring what is required of the member states of the summit, which is to take the initiative to sever relations with the occupying state, withdraw Arab and Muslim ambassadors from Tel Aviv, withdraw recognition of Israel, boycott it economically, politically, financially, and commercially, and present the model that must be adhered to in order to support our Palestinian people and back their steadfastness.
The Democratic Front for the Liberation of Palestine said: A number of Latin American countries that are friendly to the Palestinian people have taken practical steps to support and back our people, to the extent that they have surpassed the positions of many Arab and Muslim countries that still recognize Israel, establish diplomatic and security relations with it, exchange ambassadors and envoys with it, and conclude trade, economic, and financial deals with it, ignoring the crimes of mass killing and extensive confiscations of the lands of our Palestinian people committed by the occupying state, and working to follow all criminal methods that aim, according to their project, to undermine the foundations of the establishment of an independent Palestinian state with full sovereignty and Jerusalem as its capital.
The Democratic Front concluded: What was stated in the final statement of the Riyadh Summit did not rise to the required level of national, political and moral responsibility that obligates Arab and Muslim countries to take practical and effective positions in supporting our Palestinian people and their resistance.
